Four international teams from the USA, Italy, Russia and Japan, plus the host team Da Nang-Viet Nam, will participate in DIFC2013 which will be held along the banks of the Han River on the evenings of 29 and 30 April 2013. Previously an annual event, the competitions will be held every two years after 2013.
The information was announced at a meeting held recently to review the organisation of DIFC over its initial 5 years.
The competition has become a special event for Da Nang, and has attracted thousands of foreign and domestic tourists to the city. It is estimated that the number of visitors in 2011 was 3 times more than in 2010, an increase from 100,000 to 300,000. The city then welcomed approximately 365,000 tourists in 2012, a year-on-year increase of 21%.
